Board of Directors
The Redwood Art Association is governed by a Board of Directors that is responsible for management of the affairs of the organization, coordinating activities and making decisions about how the organization can best serve the membership and the community. It is a working board and members donate their time, skilsl and energy to present successful events and worthwhile activities.

Roy Grieshaber, President
Art lover from Eureka with forty years experience as a marketing professional and a special interest in helping the association manifest its long-term goals.
Robert Haynes, Vice President
Wood sculptor and photographer from Arcata, retired art professor after 39 years of teaching plus many years experience in arts administration and advocacy at the local, county and state level.
Robert Fasic, Secretary
Photographer from Eureka, originally a lawyer from Chicago, banker and trust officer, moved to Humboldt County in 1987.
Sarah J Wright, Treasurer
CPA and accounting manager for Demello, McAuley, McReynolds & Holland, LLP, Eureka branch. A life-long Humboldt resident and HSU honors graduate who enjoys local outdoor activities with her family.
David Mast, Assistant Treasurer
Photographer & furniture maker from Eureka, studied with Linda Conner, Morley Baer, Ansel Adams, Bret West, Robert Heineken & others. Retired from Caltrans as a Bridge Architectural Associate.
Julia Bednar, Past President
A Eureka artist whose paintings reflect the natural world. Retired from a career in insurance and child welfare organizations. Member of the Humboldt Arts Council Board and the Fortuna Arts Council.
Photographer from Arcata who exhibits in local galleries, in Santa Fe NM, and has works in private collections. He studied at HSU and devotes most of his time to photography since retiring from federal service.
A nature photographer from Fieldbrook, studied photography at HSU after a rewarding 34 year career with Calif. Dept. of Fish & Game. Switched to digital photography in 2006. A Humboldt resident since 1975.
Eureka artist with paintings in private collections nationally, studied oil painting with Michael Hayes and watercolor with Bob Benson, former Mayor of the City of Eureka, entrepreneur and arts advocate.
Eureka photographer and Redwood Camera Club board member and webmaster. Registered Nurse retired from hospital administration.
Enjoys art of all sorts. Eureka Natural Foods owner. A Eureka resident who enjoys gardening, being outdoors, and family.
Karen A Mast
An artist, gallery director for 27 years in Sacramento. B.A. from UC Davis in Art History/Religious Studies, A.A. Cosumnes River College in Photography/Fine Arts, A.S. in Management Information Systems.
Operations Manager at Recology Humboldt County. A sculptor and oil painter with a B.S. and an M.S. in Natural Resources from Humboldt State University.
A wildlife photographer for the past 40 years who has recently expanded into the realm of digital art. He has taught at Humboldt State University since 1976.
