Fall Exhibition Judge
Diana Daniels
The Redwood Art Association is very pleased to have Diana Daniels, Assistant Curator of the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento judge its Fall Exhibition.
Daniels has served as a juror for exhibitions such as the California Department of Conservation funded Recycled Glass Competition in 2006, the Central California Art Association’s 2007 Spring Show, and will serve in Spring 2008 as juror for the Fairfield Visual Arts Association.
Among the original exhibitions she has curated for the Crocker Art Museum are Neo Mod, Posed at Mid-Century: Master Drawings by Bay Area Figuratives, and Craters from Fire: The Ceramics of James Lovera. Currently, she is organizing an exhibition of Pop Art and is involved in planning for the 2010 opening of the Crocker’s new 100,000 sq. ft. expansion.
Daniels completed her graduate studies in art history at the University of Kansas. She is interested in a wide range of media, techniques and genres. She values design and excellent craftsmanship, but responds foremost to skilled execution in service to strong intellectual concept.
